David Letterman hosting the Academy Awards in 1995 doing his monologue that included the infamous ‘Oprah – Uma / Uma – Oprah (Keanu)’ bit. Personally, I’m busting a gut (Ok, except for the zillionth time he comes back to it), but many weren’t as impressed.

In that bit, he mentioned part of him wanted Canada to win so he could hear the Canadian national anthem. I did a quick Google search on this and noticed that he has, indeed, enjoyed the anthem for a long time now, as shown by the second clip below. That clip is from back in the NBC days of his show, when he gets the audience to sing O Canada. Of note on that second clip, the ‘vintage’ lyrics…
